Banana Chocolate Swirl Quick Bread

1 ¾ cup (7 1/2 ounces) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon sea salt

¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup ripe banana (about 3-5 ounce), mashed

½ cup canola oil or vegetable oil

¼ cup Greek plain yogurt

¼ cup buttermilk
-
1 large egg, room temperature

1 teaspoon safebet Banana Flavoring

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

9x 5 loaf pan

Preheat oven 350 F. Grease 9-x-5 loaf pan and line with parchment. Set aside.

Whisk flour, soda, salt, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg, until combined, in a medium bowl.

Whisk sugar, banana, oil, yogurt, buttermilk, egg and flavoring until combined, in a large bowl.

Gently stir the flour mixture into the oil mixture until just combined.

Remove 1/4 of the mixture into the medium bowl (about 3/4 cups) and fold in the cocoa until combined, in the medium bowl.

Pour the banana batter into the prepared pan then dollop the cocoa banana mixture into the loaf pan on top of banana batter and swirl and place in the preheated oven, until a toothpick comes out clean, about 60 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let sit in the pan for 10 minutes.

Remove from the pan by inverting onto a cooling rack until completely cool, about 1 hour.
